You cannot open a **book** without learning something.” Confucius
I have the best job in the world in my opinion; I get paid to read great books and talk about them. This wiki is for all those who "luv" books as I do to find reading suggestions, discuss books you have enjoyed, or books you didn't enjoy.

Summer is quickly approaching and many of you need book suggestions. Here are some things I have read recently or am reading now.

1. The Sixty-Eight Rooms by Marianne Malone. This is semi-historical fiction and centers on an exhibit of miniature rooms at the Art Institute of Chicago. The two main characters, a tween girl and boy who are best friends, find a magic key that takes them into the rooms where they solve a couple mysteries. This book brings up intriguing questions of whether we should disturb things in the past or leave them as is. Historical periods covered include the Salem Witch Trials and the French Revolution.

2. The Hazelwood High trilogy by Sharon Draper. The three titles, Tears of a Tiger, Forged by Fire and Darkness Before Dawn, center on the same group of friends during their last 2 years of high school. Each one covers different events while referencing the events of the other 2 books. Very emotional reads; once I read the first one I had to keep going. Of the three, Forged by Fire was my favorite.

3. Claim to Fame by Margaret Peterson Haddix. I picked this book up from a display because Haddix is one of my favorite authors. I am about halfway through the book at this point (on May 18th). Lindsey Scott is a former child star; when she hit puberty she acquired an unusual talent- she can hear anything that is said about her anywhere in the world. Lindsey lives alone with her father, her mother left the family when Lindsey was young. She is unsure whether her father was aware of Lindsey's talent, but 5 years ago he moved them to a small town in Illinois with a "safe" house where Lindsey cannot hear the voices. But her father died recently and it is now unclear whether Lindsey will be allowed in this house where she is safe from her "gift".
